Message From Liz: How I Blocked Eye-Sore Tennis Bubbles in Central Park

I am happy to report that after I and several Senate colleagues wrote to the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation expressing our opposition to plans to construct four 35-foot high tennis bubbles in Central Park between the Reservoir and the North Meadow, the Parks Department withdrew its request for bids on the proposal.  A coalition of environmental, preservation, and park advocacy groups had also expressed their opposition to this proposal.
