Senator Liz Krueger Calls on Candidates in Council Races to Allow Ballot
Access for All Candidates In the race to succeed City Council Speaker Gifford Miller (District #5 - Upper East Side & Roosevelt Island), all of the candidates, save for one, have agreed to a nonaggression pact. In recent days there have been rumblings that there may be an attempt to throw one or more of the candidates off the primary ballot. “I urge all candidates to support an open process and to not challenge the signatures of their opponents,” concluded Senator Krueger. -30- |
