Dear Neighbors,
Welcome to my 2021 Virtual Senior Resource Fair: Events to Nourish Your Mind, Body, and Soul. For 14 years, we have welcomed fall with the Annual Senior Resource Fair. It has been a wonderful opportunity for older adults to learn about programs and resources that are available to them. Whether this is your first or fourteenth time attending the Fair, I am delighted that you are participating.
Once again, COVID-19 is keeping us from meeting in person, but it will not stop us from coming together. This year we aim to nourish your body, mind, and soul. Please join me on Tuesday, October 19th to exercise, and learn how stretching, movement, meditation, and good nutrition contribute to overall wellness. On Wednesday, October 20th, learn about the physical and emotional benefits of having a pet in your life, as well as what is involved with caring for a pet. Finally, on Thursday, October 21st, learn about arts, continuing education, and technology programs you can participate in to develop your tech skills and expand your mind.
The Senior Resource Guide has been updated, and the 2021-2022 edition is now available. To view the Guide online and for more information about how to request a hard copy, please click the “Senior Resource Guide” menu button above. I am very pleased to share the Ninth Edition of the Senior Resource Guide with you. You will find an expanded selection of resources on Aging in Place, Health Care, Food Benefits and Assistance, Transportation, and many other topics.
We hope that it will be possible to hold the Senior Fair in person next year. The room has been reserved, and we look forward to seeing you there in October 2022.
Best,
Liz Krueger
